Nobody Knows Direct Marketing Better! www.CDMGinc.com Minimize

When you write your direct mail letter, magalog, website or email copy, you need to follow an important direct response copy rule.

This rule is to use an “active voice.”

Here are 3 examples of active voice versus nonactive voice:

  1. Active voice: “You'll get your free book.” Nonactive voice: “The free book will be forwarded to you.”
  2. Active voice: “You'll see results within 3 to 4 weeks.” Nonactive voice: “Results will be shown within 3 to 4 weeks.”
  3. Active voice: “Start making more money today.” Nonactive voice: “In a few weeks you'll notice an increase in your income.”

If you would like more information on how to write active and present copy, please read my report A 6-step technique to grab a reader's attention.
